Our First Home!

Tom just called me today to let me in on some good news--We will be moving into our BRAND NEW HOME on March 31st! I love the house. Yes, it is a "typical texas" house--but its got everything we need times TEN. Its in a really neat planned community that has a 35 acre stocked lake, basketball/baseball/soccer fields, A community pool and kiddie pool, a great playground, walking and biking trails, and they are building an elementary school on site which I think will be done by next year...so Briggy will probably end up going there :)
I think I've blogged this info before...but its 2796 square feet, 2 Car Garage, 4 bedroom, 3 Bath, Dining Room, Kitchen with eat-in area, Laundry room, Craft room, Playroom, great closet space, lots of windows....all the appliances/blinds/sprinkler system/security system is included....We are going to the "walk through" with the builder/inspector on Wednesday, and then closing on the 31st. I have been eyeing this house for a couple months now, and we got the house for $23,000 off the initial price!! It was built a few months ago...so everything is brand-spankin new...Tom loves the new house smell!
We have been stressed and worrying about where the heck we were going to end up, and we are so grateful that we are able to move right in at such an affordable price...thank goodness for TEXAS! Its really beautiful down here! Here are a few pictures of the house:

(Tiled Entryway: To the left is the diningroom and stairs, straight ahead leads to the kitchen and livingroom)

(Kitchen looking into livingroom)

(More Kitchen: We're thinking of painting it a rustic barn red color)

The kitchen has an eat-in area off to the side, which also leads to our master bedroom. It also has the door that leads to the backyard.)

(The craftroom: When you walk up the stairs you are greeted with a large bonus room. I plan on painting the wall an aqua and having red and white cabinents and crafting furniture. I kind of wish it was closed off, but some space is better than no space!)

(Master closet: we are pretty excited about our huge closet!! No more cramping into drawers and bins...Tom's clothes will actually look and stay pressed!)
