Funny Old Pic

I forgot my sister sent this to me. I was going through all my picture files trying to weed out and delete all the junk I don't need. I couldn't help but get a good laugh after this one.
Its too bad I can't zoom in on my lip-ring. Don't I look hardcore with my studded belt?? Hahaha. Those days seem so long ago.
I am posing at the Grand Canyon visiting center with my sister's father-in-law, Brooksby Hafen. The Hafen's showed me a good time...and ultimately, theyre overall sweetness and generosity, mixed with the great feeling (which I now understand to be the Spirit) I felt while I was in Utah and at the temple, led me to join the church.

COOKOO for COOKIES!!!

Well, I don't know if they are technically "cookies" but they're the Gerber biter biscuits. Its pretty funny--when I say "wanna snack?" and especially "wanna coooooookie?" he'll stop dead in his tracks--whatever hes doing and reach in my general direction...and if its not delivered fast enough he'll grunt like a little monkey!
You probably can't tell from the pictures, but hes wearing one of his "texas outfits" when the horse/cowboy gymboree outfits went on sale, I pretty much cleaned them out of 12-24 months.
I wasn't planning on him wearing these yet, but he's just about outgrown all his other pj's. I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY want the cowboy boots they have at gymboree, and they are marked down...but they're still at $18. A little too rich for my blood. I'm hoping they'll get marked down by the time I go back again next week....cross your fingers :)

Briggy's new kicks

Today Grandma and Grandpa Urso drove up and we hung out at the mall. Briggy has grown out of all the "crib shoes" i bought him, other than the sandals i have for him for the spring and summer....but no official "walking shoes" yet. My parents didn't believe me how RIDICULOUSLY expensive little baby shoes are! We stopped in one of the stores and they had a sale 2 for $40...which disgustingly is a good deal, since the Rockport leather shoes we bought him were originally $50. How do these shoe salesmen SLEEP at night!?
Anyway, my parents bought briggy these really cute white stride rite sneakers that look alot like the one's my dad has (minus the velcro) and the black rockports will be nice for church.
Briggy's feet grew so fast this past month, all the size 3's or 4's I used to be able to squeeze him in, hes about a 4 1/2

In other non-related briggy news, we have been DESPERATELY trying to get my mother to darken her hair for the past....decade. She is naturally a brunette, but starting dying it very VERY blonde. We passed by a salon/beauty store that sold wigs. We convinced my mom to try on some looks to see if she liked it. Here are some good shots...we bought the shorter wig--shes going to wear it for the next couple weeks and get used to it, and then she plans on getting it colored and cut...I think it looks great.

My President

"We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness."

This was the first time I ever watched an inaugural ceremony. It was beautiful. It was perfect. I am so grateful to have such an inspired man as the leader of our great country.
God bless the United States of America!
God bless President Barack Obama!

Believe it or not, Briggy started clapping! Its sort of a joke that Briggy can't really clap...he makes the motion, but his little paws never touch...and today while we were watching all the inaugural hoopla, he started to really clap!
He also said "Hi dada" when I was talking on the phone with Tom....unfortunately it happened right when I hung up the phone. I am so excited to tell Tom!

I know im cheezy, but bear with me....

I am officially the biggest baby ever. Tom has been gone since Sunday morning, (He's safe at Greg's house now) and I am a total wreck. His hours for work before meant we only had 8pm-8am together...and tuesdays and sundays off. I knew it was going to be difficult for me, but I am really having a hard time with this. He used to be just down the road, so I could stop in and see him anytime I wanted. I planned on just going to bed early from now so I couldn't be sad awake--but that's not working out so well. I was lying in bed around 8:30 and all the sudden I got this very sad song stuck in my head. I used to really love the band SheDaisy. I let my friend borrow the cd, and haven't seen it in years--but all the sudden it came to me..perfect timing.
Please, humor me--I know I'm being pathetic. Wives of military don't see their husbands for months-years and have the stress that their husband's may not even make it home....and I will soon be reunited with Tom (37 days)
I am just very aware of my weakness and neediness...I am not one of those "Independent Women" Beyonce sings about...I need my hubber!!!

"Come Home Soon"

I put away the groceries
And I take my daily bread
I dream of your arms around me
As I tuck the kids in bed

I don't know what you're doin'
And I don't know where you are
But I look up at that great big sky
And I hope you're wishin' on that same
bright star

I wonder, I pray

And I sleep alone
I cry alone
And it's so hard livin' here on my own
So please, come home soon
(Come home soon)

I know that we're together
Even though we're far apart
And I'll wear our lucky penny 'round my neck
Pressed to my heart

I wonder, I pray

I still imagine your touch
It's beautiful missing something that much
But sometimes love needs a fighting chance
So I'll wait my turn until it's our turn to dance

I wonder, I pray

I sleep alone
I cry alone
Without you this house is not a home
So please, come home soon

I walk alone
I try alone
I'll wait for you, don't want to die alone
So please, come home soon

Come home soon
Come home soon

Sad, sappy...thats me...and its not the pregnancy hormones, I'm just a mush-ball missing my perfect partner.
And we don't even get to watch the inauguration together.
:(
I really didn't want to ever feel this depressed feeling again...and I thought I would never have to having such a great husband and growing family....but I am so sad. So if I look like a blurry-eyed grump, you'll know why.

On a happier note, my sister-in-law devon is celebrating her birthday today--
Happy Birthday!!!

Isn't she beautiful!!?

We are alive and well....

its been TWO WEEKS since I last blogged on here, so I wanted to just post that we are alive and well at the Tillotsons....just very busy preparing for our impending move. Tom is leaving on Sunday morning, but is only taking clothes and personal items--so not much. I've started packing--I'm just doing it all in weekly shifts because I am getting my boxes from my friend/old boss from dunkin donuts. When they get a new shipment of goods, he saves me the boxes--its helping out a lot and saving us a bundle---having to buy boxes is so expensive!
No real major Briggy updates lately...I was hoping he'd be walking by his 11 month birthday, but so far he only has interest in cruising and crawling. I'm a little nervous that the momentous occasional will happen when daddy is away.
Briggy has a new favorite lunch: turkey and cheese on wheat. Well, its sort of a sandwich--just broken up in a lot of small bites.
I haven't been taking any pictures, so I have no cute Briggy pics to share, but I plan on taking a picture EVERYDAY the entire time we are away from Tom so he will get to see his little guy everyday.
Please keep Tom in your prayers, as he will be driving down to Texas (about 25 hour drive)Hopefully he will have a safe-storm free journey to the Lonestar state.
Oh, I do have a picture to post. THIS IS THE PLACE! that we want to call home. I know I blogged another house a few weeks ago...but this is definitely the one we want. Its in the best neighborhood, 3300 sq. feet, a real beaut.

I really like the kitchen--nice cabinents and stainless steel appliances.

It has 4 bedrooms, A gameroom (playroom), study, utility room, 2 car garage....and I like that its not all brick.

Hurray for 2009!

Tom, Briggy, Baby-in-the-belly and I have been hanging out a Grandma and Grand-dad's this past week and having soooo much fun. So much fun I didn't even blog (okay, I really wanted to, but we were having internet-connection problems...) Anyway, we had a FANTASSSSSSSTIC CHRISTMAS! Oh my goodness, did little Brigham Wills make out like a BANDIT! I can't believe all the goodies santa sent (and santa's helpers--thanks you to all the grandmas, grandpas, uncles, aunts and cousins that gave us so much fun stuff!)
Here are a few pictures from BRIGGY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS!

(a shot from the balcony before we tore open all the presents...see what I mean--we really DID make out like bandits!!!)

Briggy and Addy had so much fun opening all of their gifts!!

I just love this booty shot. His reindeer pj's were really cute (and cuter with reindeer slippers he QUICKLY kicked off...oh well)

Love you mama! Briggy has been very affectionate since getting so many new toys. Lots of hugs and kisses for everyone.

We got some cute pictures of Briggy and Uncle Jeff. Briggy thought he was pretty cool.

During the week, cousin Addy became a professional walker, Brigham was in heaven crawling ALL OVER his grandparents sprawling home (poor brigs is confined to "Briggy's clubhouse" at home!) We ate great food, played fun games, and laughed over and over again at grand-dads BUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE BEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

We also were able to see DISNEY ON ICE! in Providence. Wow! It was so fun! I have never been to an ice-skating show before....of course it was Briggy's first too...and he had a blast. He really enjoyed the loud action scenes, all the lights, and scoping out all the little kids near us!

New Years Eve was really fun. All of us grown-ups had a Murder Mystery Dinner (Death by Chocolate) It was my first time every playing one, and it was sooo neat! My character was Dr. Doris Johnson, an archeologist that specialized in Aztec culture. Tom played an American Boxer...Mike Bison!

Brent was Dr. Sigmund Fraud, Tina was an abstract artist Marchioness Duchamp, Jeff was Chocolate Betrand a Chocolatier, and Amy was a former beauty queen creeping up in years--Dame Barbara.
It was set in a Parisian hotel in the year 1900. Amy made chicken cordon blue, spinach salad with pears, nuts and a zesty basil dressing and a creamy mushroom sauce over fettucine. Yum-o.
Brent was in charge of appetizers, so of course we had tons of meat and cheese!
I was in charge of dessert, so going along with the theme we had a chocolate fondue with all sorts of tasty dipping treats.
We finished off 2008 with a smooch and a glass of alchol-free champagne and quickly fell asleep! So much for my youthful days of partying until 4!

Overall, we had one of the Best Christmases EVER....We are so grateful for our Lord Jesus Christ and the miracle of life and love we all treasure because of Him. We are so grateful for our little Brigham and know he had the best week EVER! Thanks grandma and grand-dad for letting us crawl, eat everything in sight, and get finger prints on everything (sorry about that)
We love you!!!
